Technical Paper Awards

The Southern District ITE Technical Knowledge Team, Member Services Committee, announces the return of the Annual Technical Paper Awards! These awards are to be given in two categories: to the Best Technical Paper submitted by an SDITE Member, and the Best Young Member Technical Paper submitted by an SDITE Member 35 years of age or younger (must be 35 or younger as of January 1, 2018). SDITE 2019 Officer Nominations

Listed below are the candidates that have been nominated for SDITE officers for the 2019 calendar year.

  • President: Todd Long, P.E.
  • Vice-President: Becky Rogers, P.E.
  • Secretary-Treasurer: Cynthia (Cindy) Pionke, P.E. and H. A. “Burt” Tasaico, P.E.

The winners will be officially announced at the Annual Business Meeting on April 10th (the winners will be announced on a conference call with the Executive Board and the candidates prior to the 10th). A notice will be emailed to all voting members in February announcing the opening of on-line voting and the date that balloting will close, which will likely be Friday, March 30th at 5:00 pm Eastern time. Young Member Scholarships

SDITE’s Young Member Committee is sponsoring a scholarship to assist selected young members to attend SDITE’s 66th Annual Meeting. Each Section will have the opportunity to select one of its young members (under the age of 35) to receive a complimentary registration for the 2018 Annual Meeting. Each Section may also select a second young member to receive one of the four additional scholarships. Specific selection criteria and process is left up to the individual Section Boards. Nominations must be received no later than Friday, February 9, 2018.
